Hi, Got my D16A6 engine in my car for the first time. So i go to connect the negative battery terminal and it just sparks real bad. I dont wanna try to tighten it cause im afraid ill get shocked. Tighten the plug in the clockwise direction with the 3/8″ drive ratchet to just past hand tight. If you are installing brand new plugs, tighten them until you feel the new crush washer collapse. The cable is not as important as the anode. The spark happened because the wrench closed the circuit between the cathode and the anode.
